SEO Tip #4 - Interlinking your Site's Pages

Often time people forget about the framework and structuring of their site and become stuck on off page SEO work. Interlinking is a great way to help bring up the ranking of your favorite pages. With site for example I can write a post about SEO and where it is relevant I can place a link when I reference SEO Powersuite or another keyword I want my site to rank for. This serves two purposes, it adds extra juice to your desired pages and gives you more incentive to have more depth to your site.

That was a big part of my motivation for writing these SEO tips and give my site some more substance as well as have a few more links. You can also scroll down to the bottom of the page and notice the links place in the footer. I have specifically y placed the links and anchor text in line with the SEO efforts of this site. Its a really simple method that allows you to exploit your already finished hard work. Now every time I publish a new page my site has another information source linking back home.

You will start to notice this when you look at popular sites on the web. They will have links in their bottom footer for their most competitive keywords going to the pages most relevant and profitable. This is an easy step that any webmaster can take to taking their SEO to the next level. I also feel like it adds some crawl-ability to the framework of my site besides just having the traditional site map.

My final advice is to not go overboard with this and use it sparingly. The bottom links can definitely help but with the interlinking throughout your content you don't want to go crazy. As with most SEO methods you want to keep it as natural as possible and if it looks unnatural to you than it probably does to the search engines.
